The focus of our construction practice involves counseling and representing clients in construction defect claims and other issues that arise before, during, and after the construction process.  We successfully represent developers, general contractors, in addition to, subcontractors and material suppliers in complex construction defect litigation in both custom and tract homes, multi-residential and mixed use projects, and commercial buildings.

Our service to those in the construction industry also include advising clients in risk management, risk assessment, risk transfer, and recommending protocol to protect their legal rights.

General Liability and Personal Injury

Our general liability and personal injury practice concentrates on matters involving motor vehicle accidents related to pedestrians, personal auto and commercial auto, slip/trip and falls and other forms of premises liability, residential and commercial landlord-tenant issues related to habitability and breach of contract, mold injury claims, and dog bites.

We routinely represent businesses, investment property owners, property management companies, homeowner associations, homeowners, professionals, and individuals in the defense and prosecution of matters.

Labor and Employment

Our labor and employment practice represents clients in litigation, counseling, and training in employment matters involving wage and hour, wrongful termination, ADA, discrimination and harassment, and independent contractor issues.  We represent management in employment disputes in state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

Public Entity Representation

The core of our public entity practice involves representing cities and public agencies in various litigation matters including general liability, premises liability, nuisance, mold, dangerous condition, inverse condemnation, and civil rights claims.  Our understanding of the unique procedures of government tort laws and CTCA involving the special filing requirements and immunities allow us to navigate the statutory framework to efficiently and effectively defend our public entity clients.  We develop innovative solutions and execute cost reducing strategies to respect the bottom line of our clients.

Real Property

Our real property practice involves representing clients in nuisance, easement, and landlord-tenant matters in both residential and commercial properties.

Subrogation

In subrogation matters, we prosecute and defend our clients’ interests in recovery from third parties for their acts or omissions that may have given rise to the loss.

Legal Bill Review

We offer review of legal billings to ensure the reasonableness and necessity of the billing entries.  Our experience in handling litigated matters in a variety of practice areas provides the foundation from which we can assist our clients in reviewing legal bills to determine the reasonableness and necessity of the entries.
